What is VOICE OVER IP?

VoIP is a VoIP Is a modern technology that enables you to carry Voice Traffic using the Internet Protocol or IP. Basically you use your regular Internet line or your corporate network to transport your voice traffic instead of the traditional telephony technology (PSTN/ISDN).



What is SIP TRUNKING?

SIP Trunk is one application of  the Voice over IP technology. SIP or Session Initiation Protocol, allows you to connect a virtual line to your central exchange (IP-PBX) via your internet line allowing you to use VoIP to make calls.




How does IT WORKS?

There are three parties involved when using a SIP Trunk. First your Central Exchange (IP PBX) which provide your telephony features, the « SIP Trunk » which allows you to carry your call using VoIP and you VoIP Provider that will route the calls towards the intended phone number.
